The Silberschuppen is a sustainable freshwater fish restaurant. Eating with clean conscience. At Silberschuppen you can enjoy fish from regional fish farms in a tasteful, trendy atmosphere.

The restaurant is situated in the district Ehrenfeld, a local hotspot in Cologne, Germany.

A low ecological footprint is just as important as delicious food. Therefore, Silberschuppen only serves local freshwater fish, which unfortunately has fallen into oblivion in our society. Regional products are the main focus of business strategy and are an integral part of customer communication.

Introduction

The goal of the general communication with the customer was to establish a young, yet friendly tonality. The claim "Home Sweet Fish" serves as a reminder that at Silberschuppen you will get a warm and friendly welcome, while getting served locally sourced freshwater fish. The dishes are always changing and adapt to the growing seasons of different fresh ingredients.

The advertising campaign involved reaching out to local food bloggers and influencers to check out the new shop and have them spreading the word in their online presences. The print campaign on billboards around the city was designed to make people stop and wonder. Freshwater fish depicted on the campaign were created by combining existing fish with abstract scale colors. The message on each campaign poster correlates with the modified fish and plays with the theme of regionality to further intensify the interest of the viewer.
